Adamina C. (Adie) DeckPassed peacefully into the arms of God on September 3 from complications of a long term illness. She was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1957 and moved to East Chatham with her family in 1965 where she attended Chatham Central Schools. She lived in Philmont for many years where she was employeed asan assembler at the Mellenville COARC. A devout animal lover, she spent much of her free time volunteering at the the Columbia-Greene Humane Society. Adamina was predeceased by her parents, Philip J. and Adamina E Deck. She leaves behind a brother, Philip C. Deck of East Chatham, NY; a nephew, Christopher S. Deck of Buffalo, NY; an aunt, Eleanor Kucharczyk of Chatham, NY; an aunt, Blanche Walla of Long Island, NY; an uncle, Thadeous Kucharczykof Metuchen, NJ and several cousins.Family will receive friends on Sunday, Sept 7 from 5 to 7PM at the Wenk Funeral Home A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday 9:30am from the St. James Church Chatham, New York at Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery, Ghent, NY.Memorial Contributions can be made to:Columbia-Greene Humane Society, Humane Society Rd.
