Alice (Curtis) Davis, a long time resident of Chatham, NY, passed away on Thursday, March 28 ^th , 2019 at her home in Castleton, NY at the age of 80.

The widow of James (Blue) Davis, and sister to Daniel E. Curtis, both also of Chatham, NY, Alice was born on December 23 ^rd , 1938 at the Chatham Hospital to her parents Edwin B. and Alice F. (Delzell) Curtis. Her wittiness, sense of humor, and her kind demeanor made her loved by all she touched.

She was known as a record breaker with her education at Chatham Union School, excelling academically by being the youngest in her class and entering Jr. High at the age of just 10. Alice went on to graduate high school at the age of 15.

Being an avid church goer, she held many positions on the church's vestry at St. Luke's Episcopal Church on Woodbridge Avenue in Chatham, NY.

Alice also spend many years as a member of The Eastern Star. She was Matron on 2 different occasions. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxillary for the Chatham Fire Dept.

Survived by her only son, Theodore and his wife Cathy, her grandchildren Michelle, Bradley and Danielle, and her loving nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives.  Calling hours will be Tuesday evening 4:00 to6:00 pm from the Wenk Funeral Home Chatham.  Funeral Service will be Wednesday 10:00 from the Funeral Home Interment will be in the Ghent Union Cemetery.
