Antoinette (Ann) Snyder 95 of of Ghent died Sunday at Firemen's Home Hudson,N.Y. Mrs. Snyder daughter of the late Albert and Francis (Floreno) Navarra was born March 20,1913 in Chatham, N.Y. She with her husband the late George Snyder (1967) owned and operated the Navarra House in Ghent . She was a beautician with her sister the late Josephine Walker in Chatham and later from her home in Ghent. Mrs. Snyder was a communicant of St James R.C. Church having served on the Rosary Society, Charter member of the Chatham B.P.W. Charter member of the Ghent Fire Co. Ladies Auxillary, Treasurer of the Columbia County Woman's Republican Club for 20 years and having been voted in 1992 as Woman of The Year. She was also treasurer of the Chatham, Ghent, Austerlitz Republican Club for 25 years. Mrs. Snyder is survived by a son George A.Snyder of Ghent, Daughter Sallie Friedman of Ghent Grandmother of Melissa and her husband James Rose of St Louis, Ms. Stacey and husband Ralph Graziano of Ghent, Rebecca and husband Mark Fawcett of Boston, Ma. Amy and husband Daryn McClean of Toronto Scott and wife Michele Alexander of Plattsburgh, N.Y. Jonathan and wife Dawn Robert of Valatie, Todd and wife Sarah Matthew of Larchmont,N.Y. Sisters Francis Lacavarra of Virginia, Lillian Pooler of Naples, Fl. And Rosie Moller of Singer Island, Fl. Survived also by 12 Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Thursday 10:00am from the St James R.C. Church. Interment will be in Ghent Union Cemetery.
