Benjamin Eli Kaufmann 33 of Chatham died recently in Chatham. Benjamin born August 6, 1981 in Spring Green, Wisconsin is the son of Peter J. and Hildi (Schwade) Kaufmann both of Chatham. He attended Hawthorne Valley School and Graduated from Chatham High School class of 2000 and then attended UMass and transferred to U Albany where he graduated with a B.S. in pre-med. While attending University of Virginia for medical school he sustained severe injuries in an accident at which time he came home for rehabilitation. Benjamin had a great passion for family, nature, gardening and especially baseball. Besides his parents Peter and Hildi, Ben is survived by his brother Joshua of Philmont and many Cousins.He was predeceased by his sister Robyn and both his Maternal and Paternal Grandparents. Funeral Service will be held Sunday 11:00am from the Wenk Funeral Home Chatham Interment will follow in the Harlemville Cemetery.
