Carol (Spickerman) Blass 61 of Schmidt Rd. Ghent died Wednesday at Community Hospice at Columbia Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Blass born October 28 1949 in Hudson,N.Y. is the daughter of the late Carl F. and Lillian (Schlegel) Spickerman, She graduated from Chatham High School. She was employed with Harder Express in Claverack for many years as Bookkeeper and for many years was bookkeeper for Ghent Fuel and Heating family business in Ghent . In 1971 she married the Late Robert Blass (1995). She was an avid gardener and baker. Mrs. Blass is survived by her son Richard D. Blass of Ghent, and many Cousins. Calling hours are Sunday evening 6-8pm from the Wenk Funeral Home Chatham, Graveside service will be held Monday 10:00am from the Ghent Union Cemetery.
