Catherine L. Diskin 51 of Rt 295 Chatham died Friday at Columbia Memorial Hospital.Mrs. Diskin born January 24,1957 in LaGrande, Oregon is the daughter of Norman Diggins of Battleground, Washington and Janice (Doutre) Diggins of Herminston, Oregon. She with her husband of 26 years came to Chatham in 1989 from Washington. She was a caretaker for private property in Spencertown for 15 years managed the Country Store in Chatham Country House in East Chatham for 2 years. Before she became a waitress and cook and prep person for Liliy's Diner in Canaan and most recently for the Lippera's Chatham House in Chatham. Mrs. Diskin was a Girl Scout leader for 2 Troops in Chatham at the same time for 12 years. A member of the Auxillary. of the Amercian Legion Post #42 of Chatham . Besides her parents, She is survived by her husband Mark E. Diskin of Chatham, son Adam D. Murphy of Tacoma, Wa. Daughters Elizabeth and Stephanie Diskin both of Chatham,Brothers Michael Diggins of Yelm, Wa. Lonnie Diggins of Salem, Oregon, Sister Crystal Diggins of Oregon. Grandchildren Madison, Brooke, Carter and Preston and Mother figure and Best Friend Marjorie Murphy of Tacoma, Wa.
