David Marshall Grandy, passed away peacefully on January 19 ^th , 2020 in Philmont NY.  He was the widower of Elizabeth A. Grandy .  They shared 46 years of marriage together.

Born in Marlboro MA, he was the son of Harold and Beulah Grandy.  He graduated from American International College.  He served in the US Army from 1951-53.  Before he retired, David was employed at IBM in Boca Raton FL in their Maintenance Department.

David and Elizabeth moved to Philmont NY in 1993.  They attended the Philmont United Methodist Church.  He enjoyed fixing mechanical/electronic items and woodworking.  Family members and neighbors were so grateful to the help they received.   David was a member of the Hawthorne Valley Gnomes who made wooden toys for the annual Yuletide Fair.

David is survived by his daughters Melody (Roger) of Asheville NC and Caroline (Jim) of Philmont NY, his son Chris (Rose) of Wheaton IL and his grandchildren Tristan (Ariel), Andrew (Melissa), Megan, Emily, Annabel, Sarah Ruth, and Abigail Elizabeth.  David enjoyed spending time with all of his family including his two great-grandchildren, Addison Elizabeth and Jackson David.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24 ^th at 10am at the Wenk Funeral Home on 21 Payn Ave in Chatham. Interment will follow in the Mellenville Union Cemetery
