Dolores R. Dolfax Steuerwald, 89,  passed away May 2, 2025 peacefully at Pine Haven Nursing Home. Dolores was born in Amsterdam, NY on September 22 1935. She was the late daughter of Gustaf and Marion Dolfax. Dolores graduated from Hudson High School. She worked for the US Postal services for many years. She also worked for Clatter Hall Nursery in Spencertown.
Dolores had a passion for gardening and enjoyed traveling.
Dolores was predeceased by her husband Carl R Steuerwald Sr. She is survived by her sons Carl Jr and Mark C (Penny). She is also survived by Brothers  Gustaf Dolfax II of Willmington North Carolina, Robert Dolfax of Mt Merino, NY. She also is survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held at Wenk Funeral Home Chatham on Wednesday May 7th 1pm-3pm. Interment services will be held at a later date at the German Church Cemetery in Harlemville, New York.
