Donald G. Bertram 84 of Ghent passed away peacefully in his sleep Tuesday at Albany V.A. Hospital Albany,N.Y. Mr. Bertram born March 4,1925 in Stuyvesant, N.Y. is the son of the late George and Mary (Lauster) Bertram. He enlisted in the U.S. Army July 5,1943 and served our country for 20 years, having served during WWII. Mr.Bertram was a member of the Ghent V.F.W. Post #5933 . He enjoyed bowling, golf, country music, ballgames and playing scrabble. He is survived by his wife Lee Bertram, daughters Doris Cady and Linda Stimers, son David Bertram, Grandchildren Angel Liebro, Bryan Cady, Mort Stimers, Travis and Amanda Bertram, Great Grandchildren Nathan and Brianna Liebro and Connor Cady. Sister Marion Ozga, brothers Stanley and James Bertram and Dear Friend and companion Margaret DeLong. Mr. Bertram was Predeceased by Sisters Dorothy Macarthy and Helen Wheeler. Calling hour will be Friday evening 6-7pm with a funeral service to follow at 7:00pm from the Wenk Funeral Home Chatham. Inurnment will be in the Memory Gardens Cemetery Colonie .
