Donald Perry, 95, of Austerlitz NY and Ruskin FL, died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his
family on November 6, 2020. He was born on September 17, 1925 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts to
the late Edward Perry and Harriet Perry Wilson.

Donald graduated from Roe Jan High School in 1943, then joined the United States Army serving
from 1944-1946 and was stationed at Fort Bragg. He was employed by General Electric from
1948-1985. On October 2, 1948 he married the love of his life, Dorothy Badertscher. They
celebrated 69 years of marriage before her passing in 2018. Taking an early retirement they were
able to spend 20 years wintering at their home in Ruskin , FL. Don enjoyed watching football
(Giants) and baseball (Yankees), hunting, fishing, birdwatching and spending time with family.

Besides his wife, he is predeceased by his sisters Ethel, Grace, Pearl and brother Edward. He is
survived by his children Donald (Sandy) Perry of Louisville, KY, Lynn (Paul) Baumann of Sheffield,
MA, David (Shirley) Perry of Chatham, NY and Chris (John) Perry of Irving TX, 7 grandchildren:
Kevin, Tony, Ben, Christopher, Megan, Mark, Amy, 14 great grandchildren: Brandon, Stephanie,
Kirsten, Kevin Jr.,Jayson, Alex, Olivia, Hailey, Cheyanne, Lucas, Gianna, Lily, Cole, Jett, many
nieces and nephews and his loving and devoted caretaker, Theresa Martin.
Due to COVID-19 there will be no calling hours. A celebration of his life will be held in the spring. In
