Dorothy S. Kubek 91 a long time resident of East Chatham died Sunday at Our Lady of Mercy Nursing Home Guilderland, N.Y. Mrs .Kubek born October 20,1920 in Detroit, Mi. is the daughter of the late Benedict and Rose (Kunath) Sobczynski. She was a veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII attaining rank of Corporal. In 1947 She married the late Frank Kubek 1990 and was employed with I.R.S. in Detroit for one year before coming to East Chatham in 1953 where she has resided since. Mrs. Kubek was employed with Albany V.A. Medical Center in the administration dept later on as Supervisor for 35 years retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in New Lebanon, N.Y. Mrs. Kubek is survived by 2 Daughters Shirley M. Kubek Casatelli of Albany, Geraldine Kubek of Albany, brothers Roman and Paul Sobczynski both of Detroit, Mi. and several Nieces and Nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Leonard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday 10:00am from the Immaculate Conception Church Rt. 20 New Lebanon,N.Y. Interment will follow in the Canaan Cemetery.
