Elaine Vogel, 95 of Chatham, NY passed peacefully on August 5, 2025 at the Whittier Nursing Home, Ghent, NY.

A beloved Mother, Nana, cherished friend and devoted Christian, Elaine was born April 27, 1930 in Flushing, NY to Henry and Helen Keating.

Elaine spent much of her life in Columbia County, graduating from Chatham High School. She married Charles "Rip" Vogel, who predeceased her in September of 2000. "Rip" and Elaine raised their 3 children, Gary (Kathy), Gail Buchan, and Gay Campisi (Anthony). She is survived by her children, 8 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Elaine worked and retired from the Chatham Central School District. She was a member of the American Legion Post 42 Auxiliary, Chatham Fire Department Auxiliary, along with other civic organizations. She also served on the Ghent Town Board for several years.

Visitation will take place Friday, August 8th at Wenk Funeral Home, Payn Avenue, Chatham from 5 - 7pm. Christian Mass will be held Saturday, August 9th at St. Paul's Episcopal Church  Sylvester Street, Kinderhook, NY at 10am.
