Ella M. Shanahan went home to be with the Lord on January 27,2016. She was born in Wulsdorf, Germany February 27, 1920 and came to the U.S.  with her family when she was 8 years old. She is predeceased by her husband of 52 years Lawrence Shanahan and Grandson John Shanahan. She is survived by her sons Thomas (Lyla) Shanahan Sr. and Daniel Shanahan, Grandchildren Christy Shanahan and husband Wayne Drowne, Thomas Shanahan Jr. Wendy,Gregory,Emily and Lawrence Shanahan, Great Grandchildren Kelly and Julia Shanahan, Brother Hank Renken and Sister Margaret Fischer and Many Nieces and Nephews. We were blessed to have her in our lives for so many years – She will be deeply missed. Calling hour will be Tuesday February 2, 10 -11 am from the Wenk Funeral Home Chatham.  Funeral Service will be private . Burial will be in the Mountain View Cemetery.
