James Andrew Lefavour, 58, of Valatie, New York, passed away on January 26, 2025 at Albany
Medical Center in Albany, New York after a short illness.
He was born July 28, 1966 in Louisville, Kentucky, the eldest son of Laurence and Gene
Lefavour. After graduating from Ichabod Crane Central School, he continued his education at
Hudson Valley Community College, graduating with an Associate Degree in Computer
Information Systems. On June 5, 1993 he married his wife of 31 years, Lola Loveland, of
Chatham, New York.
Jim was a skilled computer technician and small business owner of Jim's Tech Services. He was
a collector and home project enthusiast. In his free time, he enjoyed reading and watching
science fiction. He enjoyed many game nights with his family, especially with his brother-in-law,
Frank. Every animal Jim met he loved, and they loved him in return. A man of faith and
devotion, his true light and love were his wife and daughter. His family takes comfort in knowing
that Jim will continue to live long and prosper in the hearts and minds of those who knew and
loved him.
James is survived by his wife, Lola Lefavour, a daughter, Samantha Lefavour, a brother-in-law
Frank Loveland, a sister Marilyn Lefavour, and a brother Laurence Lefavour. He is also survived
by his nieces and nephews: Christopher Lefavour, Michael (Jessica) Messier, Kasondra
Lefavour, Crystal (Logan) Shoffner, Helen (Anthony) Zaffino, Jonathan Lefavour, and Jessica
Lefavour, along with many cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and his
brothers David and Andy.
There will be no service held. The family would like to express their appreciation to the many
friends and family who have given their support during this time.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to a local animal rescue of your choice
on behalf of Jim Lefavour.
