Jeanette Duarte of Ghent, NY passed at home on Tuesday January 4 after a brief illness.  Jeanette was a loving mother of 8 children, 12 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.   She was the wife of dairy and beef farmer, Manuel Duarte Sr. of Austerlitz.  As a homemaker, Jeanette enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking and gardening.  Calling hours will be 11am to noon on Saturday, January 8, followed by a funeral service at Wenk Funeral Home, Chatham, NY and burial at  Mellenville Union Cemetery.
