Joseph T. Schatt Jr. 74 of Ghent died Wednesday at Columbia Memorial Hospital. Mr. Schatt born July 29,1935 in Flushing, N.Y. is the son of the late Joseph and Louisa (Davis) Schatt Sr. he Graduated from Chatham High School and then entered into the U.S. Navy having served from 1954 - 1957. He was employed with Mobil Co. in Beaumont, Texas as Junior Engineer for 20 years.and moved to Ghent in 1984 where he has resided since. Joseph's love of boats, He was a member of the Hook Boat Club in Stuyvesant. He is survived by Sisters Betty L. Schatt of Ghent, Emily deQuay of Austin, Texas. And several Nieces and Nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Priscella Schatt. Funeral Services will be private.
