Joyce M. Howard of Ghent, passed away peacefully at Pine Haven Nursing Home on April 20, 2018. She is survived by her husband, of forty years,Thomas Howard, Son Obie (Nancy) Johnson of Poultney, Vt., Daughter Deborah (Rick) Frick, Son James Johnson of Ghent and , Sisters Carol VanDuesen and Dorthy (Jack) McDonald. Grandchildren, Forrest, Hunter, Wilder, and North Johnson, Richard (Shannon) Frick, Jeremy, Amanda and Meagan Frick. Cassey (Kerner) Wood, Dylan Johnson and Michael C. Ruby Sr..Great Grandchildren, Peyton, Gavin, Carter, Eli and Reina Frick, Michael C. Ruby Jr., Calvin and Sullivan Wood. She was predeceased by  brothers Richard, Harold and Robert (Sue) Lobdell, sisters Eva Mason, and Betty O'dell and twin sons A. and B. Ruby, Bobby Johnson, Billy Johnson and Michael B.Ruby Jr.

Joyce enjoyed riding her horses and working with, son, Billy with his riding and being with family. She taught country line dancing around the county.

Calling hours will be held at Wenk Funeral Home, Payn Ave. Chatham, NY Friday, April 27 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM . Inurnment will be at Cemetery of the Evergreens, New Lebanon, NY Saturday, April 28, 2018 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Berkshire Humane Society.
