Judith A. (Judy) Koloski of Chatham died Tuesday at Columbia Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. Mrs.Koloski born October 10,1939 in Winsted, Ct. is the daughter of the late William C. and Jean C. (Poole) Callinan. She graduated from high school in Winsted, Ct. She was employed with Hartford Insurance Co. in Hartford as secretary transcriber for 5 years. In 1959 she married Stanley F. Koloski of Sandisfield, MA and moved to West Sand Lake in 1962 wherebye she was employed with the N.Y.S. Taxation Dept. in Albany. She and her husband moved to Chatham in 1976 where she was active in leading the U.S. Pony club and local 4 H for many years as well as a family member of the Old Chatham Hunt Club. Judy is most well known for her breeding, training, and showing of many champion Rottweiler dogs, including one of her female dogs "Gilly" winning top award at Westminster Kennel Club in New York City and being ranked in the top ten nationwide. She was President of the Albany Kennel Club and helped found a Rottweiler rescue and adoption program, Hudson Valley Rottweiler Rescue. Besides her husband Stanley of Chatham, Mrs. Koloski is survived by daughters Kathleen Ann Koloski of New Port Richey, Fl, and Deirdre Gill Koloski of Loveland, Co. A Service of remembrance by family and friends will be held Saturday 4:00pm from the Wenk Funeral Home Chatham. A calling hour will be held an hour before the service at 3:00pm.
