Kathryn B. Crosby 82 of Old Hudson Turnpike Rd. Canaan died Monday at Berkshire Medical Center. Mrs. Crosby born March 23,1929 in Litchfield, Ct. is the daughter of the late George and Johanna (Higgins) Bailey. She graduated from Litchfield High School and came to the Canaan area in 1950 where she was Town Clerk for 8 years, School Tax Collector for Chatham Central School for 8 years. Mrs. Crosby was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in New Lebanon, Canaan Protective Fire Co. Ladies Auxillary, Charter member of the Former Canaan V.F.W. Post # 8266 Ladies Auxillary and the Canaan Democratic Club. Mrs.Crosby is survived by a son John H. Crosby Jr. and wife Robin of Canaan, Daughter Tammy and Husband Gary Flaherty of Canaan, Grandsons Brandon Navom of Lowell, Ma. P.O. 1st class Bryce Navom in Norfolk, Va. And Great granddaughter Iris Navom. She was predeceased by her husband John H.Crosby Sr. 2009 and daughter Nancy Navom 2003. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 10:00am from the Immaculate Conception Church Rt. 20 New Lebanon Interment will follow in the Canaan Cemetery.
