Lillian M. Keyes 82 of Ghent died Saturday at her residence. Mrs. Keyes born March 16,1928 in Hudson,N.Y. is the daughter of the late John and Lillian (Doyle) Fitzpatrick. She graduated from Chatham High School. She married in 1947 to her husband the late Edmund F. Keyes 1978. She had managed a restaurant in Georgia for 5 years and moved to Florida where she waitressed at a Howard Johnsons and also was employed as a clerk for Eckerd Drug Store. She moved to Ghent in 1972 were she was a certified Family Care Provider until her retirement in 1997.Lillian (Chickie) was a symbol of strength and fortitude to her family. She was Faithfull and always helpful to those she knew. She was the centerpiece to all of our various families and she will be deeply missed by us all. Mrs. Keyes was an avid gardner. She is survived by her sons Edmund G. Keyes of Ghent,N.Y. Gregory B. Keyes of Merritt Island, Fl.and Daughter Diane A. Davis of Ghent. Sister Patricia Manginelli of White Plains. Survived also by 10 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.Graveside service will be held Wednesday 2:00pm at the Ghent Union Cemetery.
