Obituary

Lillian Ann (Cozzolino)  Rucker passed away at her home in Chatham on Friday, January 22, 2016, at the age of 93.  Born December 15, 1922, she was a life long resident of Chatham.  She worked in the restaurant industry most of her life, even owning a restaurant with her husband, Jim Rucker, in Chatham during the 1940s.

In later years, she was active in the Ghent Senior Citizens where she loved organizing trips to the casinos.  She always enjoyed looking for a good bargain but what brought her the most joy was spending time with her family.

Lillian is survived by her daughter, Geraldine (Peter) Mercer of Chatham; two granddaughters, Jamie (Craig) Campbell of Craryville, and Jacqueline (Tom Andersen) Mercer of Chicago, IL; two great-grandsons, Peter Campbell and Matthew Campbell of Craryville; and three nieces and a nephew.

Lillian is predeceased by her parents, Michael and Philomena Cozzolino; her husband, William James Rucker; four brothers, Frank (Luretta) Cozzolino, Anthony (Betty) Cozzolino, Jerry Cozzolino, Eugene (Angela) Cozzolino, and a sister, Votelia (Charles) McGill.

There will be a calling hour Thursday, January 28 at 11AM at the Wenk Funeral Home on Payn Ave in Chatham, with a service to follow at 12PM.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to The Community Hospice of Columbia/Greene, 47 Liberty St, Catskill, NY 12414.
