Margaret "Meg" Williams of Spencertown, N.Y. died Thursday at her residence. Margaret was born in

Hudson, NY to parents Margaret (Bradlee) and Samuel Porter

Webster and raised in Kinderhook. She was the youngest of her 4 siblings, Eugenia (Ed) Keegan, Sally

(Butch) Stalker, Bradlee (Jackie) Webster, and Gretchen (Jim) Brahm.

After graduating from Ichabod Crane High School in the Class of 1967, she married Gary Williams in 1968

and they then embarked on a year-long adventure, packing up from Columbia County and living in

Albuquerque, NM. They came back to Spencertown in 1969 where they built a house and raised their

family. Meg was a devoted mom, wife, and sister; above all else she loved spending time with her

family.

She was an active member of the Spencertown Fire Company Auxiliary in recent years. Meg was a

thoughtful, kind, considerate person who always enjoyed helping others. She will be dearly missed.

Meg leaves behind her loving husband Gary of 56 years, her daughter Melissa (Mark) Stickles of

Craryville, NY, and her son Robert (Kristen) Williams of San Rafael, CA, and her grandchildren Andrew

Williams, Lila Williams, and Emma Stickles. She is predeceased by her parents and her sister Sally.

The family will plan a memorial service this spring where they will welcome all to attend to celebrate

Meg's life. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Meg's name to The Community Hospice of
