Obituary

Marie Truran passed away July 29th at the age of 106. She was born September 27, 1916 in Queens, New York to Henry S. and Elizabeth Lott Sr. In 1936 she married Herman Engstrom, they had 2 children before moving to Chatham in 1944 and then bought a farm. After his death she married in 1965 a farmer Albert Deinlein in Richmond Ma. And considered that her home for the rest of her life. After her marriage to Paul Truran in 1990 she became a snowbird spending winters in Englewood, Fl.  She did title searches for Harold Hall , was a 4-H leader of the In-Between 4-H Club. Master and held other offices of the Austerlitz Grange and in the West Stockbridge and Stockbridge Granges. She was a member of the St Peter's Presbyterian Church in Spencertown and its Tower Club, and the Congregational Church in Richmond and its Friendly Circle. In Florida she joined the Lemon Bay Womans Club where she enjoyed  helping sew quilts. She enjoyed participating in Plays and Skits and doing monologues. Besides her 3 husbands she was predeceased by her brother Henry S. Lott Jr., Daughter Betty Ann Engstrom and stepson Bruce Deinlein. She is survived by a daughter Beth -Marie Meehan and stepdaughter-in-Law Bernice(Tom) Dawson, Grandchildren Robert Meehan Jr. Betsy (Wesly) Dexheimer, Travis (Mykayla)Deinlein Chris Deinlein, and Amy (Steve) Butch.
