It is with great sadness, the family of Meyer E. Meyerson acknowledge his passing on May 4 ^th , 2021 after a long, courageous battle with Leukemia and Cancer.

Born in Mount Kisco NY in 1955 to the late Dorothy Meyerson, he always called Chatham NY his true home.

Meyer was very well known for his fishing expertise, his self-sacrificing caring nature, infectious laugh, warm smile and kind soul. Meyer was a Master Carpenter for many years.  All around Columbia County and beyond, his footprint will forever be there.

Meyer leaves behind his absolute pride and joys, his 3 wonderful children; son Meyer (Bud) Meyerson II (Kimberly), daughter Kirstin Loftus (William) and youngest daughter Cassandra Meyerson (Daniel). The other loves of his life besides trout & bass were his grandchildren; Emma Meyerson (his Chunky Monkey), Elijah Meyerson (his Porcupine), Grace Meyerson (his Pollywog), Aryana Anderson (his Hummingbird), Liam Loftus (his Lee) and Grady Loftus (his Gman); his sister Gale Straitiff (Dan) of Jacksonville, FL; Brother from another Mother Darrell Dutcher (Patty); his ex-wife and friend Gayle Schrader, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and friends that were family.

Meyer was predeceased by his brothers; Earl Weeks, Henry Meyerson and Stephen Meyerson and his 2 ^nd mom Virginia (Ginny) Holt, along with many dear friends and family.

Wenk Funeral Home in Chatham, NY has been entrusted with final arrangements. Calling hours will be held with proper COVID protocol (Masks & Social Distancing Required) at Wenk Funeral Home on Thursday May 13 ^th , 2021.  From 5 – 7 pm.   In Meyer's memory, please consider making a donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Community Hospice or your local nature preserve.
