Paul Louis Dolinsky was born on November 20, 1946 . He made his transition on May 31, 2023 at the age of 77.   He is survived by his sister Toby Finz and his  brother-in-law Jack Finz, his niece Stephanie Finz and nephew Brian Finz, his wife Carrie and great-nephew Silas.

Paul was a philosophy major in college and earned his Ph.D. in philosophy at SUNY Buffalo . He was a former philosophy instructor at the New School for Social Research, NYC and also a former substance abuse counselor at Bronx Lebanon Special Care Center.  He has been retired for many years.

Paul was married twice, once when he was very young, and then to Elise Lindauer.  They lived in Hillsdale and ultimately settled down in Spencertown in 1999.  They were happily married for 24 years and took loving care of their family of cats.  Elise made her transition in 2017 and Paul continued to live in their house.

Paul loved writing poetry...that was his passion as well as being an avid reader.  For many years Paul studied the philosophy of Rudolf Steiner and anthroposophy and regularly attended meetings with a group in Spencertown.

Paul was a kind and gentle man and will be greatly missed by all that knew him, especially by his sister Toby and his "brother" David. For on-line condolences visit wenkfuneralhome .com
