Robert W. Pearsall 95 of Ghent died Friday at Whittier Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center. Mr. Pearsall born September 21, 1918 in Brooklyn, N. Y. is the son of the late Raymond and Mina (Woolsey) Pearsall of Hillsdale. A life long New York State resident, Bob lived in Long Island, Hillsdale, Austerlitz and Ghent. In his younger years he spent happy hours camping and fishing at his favorite spots throughout the state. Bob proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army Americal Division, participating in the Liberation of the Phillippines and the Occupation of Japan. He is survived by his first Cousins Virginia, Elizabeth and Mark Wehrli who always will remember this gentle, quiet man. Robert was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth (1951) and his brother Allyn (1941).The family extends gratitude to the staff of Whittier Place and Whittier Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center as well as Community Hospice of Columbia Greene for the excellent care and kind attention given to Bob.
