Stanley (Joe) Davis 63 of Whitings Pond Rd. Canaan,N.Y. died Wednesday at Berkshire Medical Center Pittsfield, Ma. Mr. Davis born August 19,1945 in Dayton,Ohio is the son of the late Lloyd and Dorothy (Rhodes) Davis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1962 to 1968. Mr. Davis was employed as salesman for the Keystone Plumbing Supply in Springfield, Ma for 20 years.and in 1994 He came to Canaan, N.Y. where He and his wife owned and operated the Canaan Market Country Store until his retirement in 2007. Mr. Davis was a member of the Canaan Protective Fire Co. and presently serving on the Planning Board and Ethics Committee of Canaan. He was a 30 year member of the Chicopee, Ma. Elk's Club. Mr. Davis is survived by his wife Gail Davis of Canaan, Children Gerhard Davis of Oak Harbor, Wa., Garry Davis of West Lebanon, N.Y. Jessica Davis of Cairo, N.Y. Judy Delonge, Sabrina Hoppe and Casandra Dietrich all of Springfield, Ma. Survived also by 9 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren, a Brother and Sister. Predeceased by a brother and 2 Sisters.
