Obituary

VIRGINIA EAVES

September 30th, 1928 - September 12th 2023

It is with equal parts of sorrow and joy that the family announces the passing of Virginia Eaves; sorrow because we will miss her and her beautiful spirit terribly but also joy because we know that this wonderful Lady lived her life in faithful service to the Lord and that she is home with God in her Heavenly Mansion.

Virginia lived her life with grace, love and great compassion for others.  Her's was not a perfect life; rather, she dealt with the many trials and tribulations that most people face.  But through it all, she always maintained her positive spirit and fierce determination to soldier on, supported and uplifted by her unfailing faith in, and intimate relationship with, her Lord.

She loved her family, one and all, very much and took great, special joy in her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

We would like to thank the caring and loving people at The Payn Home (her earthly mansion!) in Chatham, NY,  where Virginia lived for the last eight years of her life.  The staff and residents were great friends and like family to her.  We also would like to thank the good Sisters and Brothers in Christ at the Bible Baptist Church of Ghent, many of whom showed her the love and kindnesses that Jesus commands us to do.  Lastly, we thank the excellent staff at Hospice of Columbia Greene Counties for their devotion, compassion and excellent service in her final months.

We love you very much Mama, and will miss you terribly.  We will say farewell for now and look forward to that day we meet again in God's great mansion that he made just for you.For on-line condolences, visit wenkfuneralhome.com
