Virginia Mae Race Wilber of Spencertown, NY, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018, she was 92 years old.  She was born in Hudson, NY October 15, 1925, the daughter of Arlington Race and Mildred Peters Race.  She is the wife of Kenneth C Wilber who spent a wonderful life together in Spencertown.  Educated at Spencertown Town School for grades one through eight, she graduated from Chatham High School, Class of 1945.

Her hobbies were crafts, needlepoint, knitting, and painting from what she learned at art school many years ago.  She also loved being surrounded by her family and friends, enjoyed cooking and baking, and most of all she enjoyed Christmas holidays together with family.   She worked at Berkshire Farms as a secretary for twelve years.

She is survived by her loving husband Kenneth and her sons Richard (Dorothy) and Stephen (Carol), her grandchildren Richard (Meg), Kristin (Patrick), Jason (Josephinea), Greta, and Amanda, and her great grandchildren John, Kenneth, Josh, Madeline, and Patrick.

Calling hour will be on Monday, August 13th 10 to 11 am with a service to follow at 11:00 from the Wenk Funeral Home in Chatham, NY.  Immediately following burial at the Spencertown Cemetery, a gathering will be held at Stephen Wilber's home on Big Woods Rd., Spencertown, NY.

Virginia and Kenneth enjoyed 68 years together.
