William Arthur "Bill" Gearing, age 70, of Troy, NY, passed away on April 9, 2024. He was born on December 24, 1953, in Pittsfield, MA, to the late Franklin and Jennie (Berlt) Gearing.

Bill, a member of East Chatham Grange #1066 and the East Chatham Fire Department, was dedicated to serving his community. He was a judge for Odyssey of the mind for 10 years. He cherished his time spent with these organizations and made many lasting friendships along the way. Bill had a great singing voice and loved karaoke.

He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Barber (Ray), fiancée, Patricia Lofink, 7 grandchildren and one more on the way, as well as his brothers Wayne (Dodie) Gearing & Alan Gearing as well as several nieces and nephews. Bill's memory will forever be treasured by those who knew and loved him.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at Wenk Funeral Home in Chatham, NY, on April 12, 2024, from 5 to 7 PM. A funeral will be held at 10 AM at Wenk Funeral Home followed by burial service at Mountain View Cemetery on April 13, 2024.
